We invite LGBTIQ activists from Ukraine to take part in a research!

Social Action Centre and INSIGHT NGO invite all LGBTIQ activist to participate in a research aimed to deffine awareness of Ukrainian LGBTIQ community in the fileds of discrimination and hate crimes. The research will also define educational and informartional needs of the community and evaluate trust to local level jey actors.

The survey may be filled in Ukrainian or Russian language.

The research result will be available by the beginning of May. The research is financially supported by EVZ foundation and is conducted within “Strengthening cooperation between key actors for increased recognition and effective response to discrimination and hate against LGBTIQ at local level” project.

POLICE FINDS 79 HATE CRIMES IN UKRAINE

According to the Main Department of Investigations, there were 49 crimes registered in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 161 (violation of equality of citizens on the basis of their race, nationality, religious views, disability or other characteristics) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in 2015. Additional 30 crimes were recorded under other articles (including cases of murder and torture).
